Rudy longs to meet the bird whose hoots echo throughout the might. When the moon tells him that it is the owl he seeks, Rudy decides that he must meet this magnificent bird and sing with him too. Despite the challenges he faces in his search, the spirited cardinal never gives up. Then one night a full moon appears, and Rudy know just what to do when he hears that hoo-hoo-hoo.
This endearing story, written in rhyming verse with captivating watercolor illustrations, is sure to be a favorite bedtime story or addition to a classroom library. Rudy’s adventures also provide plenty of opportunity for children to learn about birds and the phases of the moon.

Dolores Frazer
Dolores Frazer grew up on Long Island. She earned a B.A. in English from Stony Brook University, and started working in the advertising field. After having a family, she redirected her career towards education, and taught middle school for twenty years before becoming a literacy specialist at the elementary level. She lives on Cape Cod with her husband and two amazing pups where she writes stories for children and young adults.

Jim Lagasse
Jim Lagasse is a watercolor artist from Bangor, Maine. His work has been published in regional and international magazines and has been featured in multiple television series and commericials, including Blue Bloods, Saturday Night Live, and HBO. Jim has been painting for over thirty years and continues to paint New England landscapes and children’s book art.
